ubuntu lucid (10.04) environment to install google android SDK

1. Install jdk and eclipse


sudo aptitude install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts
sudo aptitude install eclipse-platform eclipse-plugin-cvs eclipse-jdt
installation testing: java-version, enter the similar results:



java-version
java version "1.6.0_18"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.8) (6b18-1.8-0ubuntu1)
OpenJDK Server VM (build 14.0-b16, mixed mode)


2.install ADT

run Eclipse, click Help> Install New Software> Available Software. Click “ Add .. ” button in the location enter the URL https: / / dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse / (name item no matter), point OK. Then you will see the Developer tools appear in the list, expand the selected directory “ Android DDMS ”, “ Android Development Tools ” 2. Click the Next button to begin installation. 3.install android SDK

download file: android-sdk_r05-linux_86.tgz available here: androidappdocs.appspot.com / sdk / index.html [part of the region needs Hongxingchuqiang]

extract released to the / home / yourhome /, I release the directory is: / home/sky/android-sdk-linux_86, then
eclipse> windows> prefences> Android> SDK Location specifies the directory where the android sdk can
